Has anyone gotten the black Neato? Like the model pictured?

Yes, mine was black like the one pictured, however there's not a 100% for sure chance that they will all be that way.

They use spare parts to refurbish them so they may have a plastic piece from another unit that does not match, tho I would assume they try to keep them the same color

does this come with one or 2 brushes, it appears to have one installed and one different style included, and is there only one filter or one extra and one installed?

Our neato came with two brushes.  It also came with a filter installed and two more in another package.  If you are buying one to save time on cleanups, forget it.  My wife loves this thing (name is Igor) and while it's running, spends her free time watching it.

Hello my name is Jennifer and I have a Husky that sheds ridiculous amounts of hair. Can this vacuum pick up the hair without clogging it? because I work two jobs and then  have to come home to a shedded mess. If this could help do the work so I can unwind I would be so grateful!! LOL

Hi Jennifer I'm Justin. I have two of these  One for each level of the house and if you run them every night  it will stay on top of the dog hair.   That still leaves a little dog here where the wall meets the floor.  I love mine and I love coming downstairs to a freshly vacuumed living room. Anything you can do to make your life easier, right? I would definitely recommend it to you.

Does anyone know how often you must replace the filter and battery? Is it necessary to get extras?

We have used the same filter for more than a year, I typically brush it out with a hand broom or vacuum it with our regular vacuum once a month.  batteries are good for 1-2 years as well so not worth stocking up.

does this Manufacturer Refurbished unit come with brand-new battery? or does it come with used battery?

I cant answer the question directly. But what I can tell you that is relevant, is that if you have it do a whole-house clean, the battery may not last for the full job. But the unit detects it is getting low, automatically returns to the charging station, recharges then carries on where it left off. So battery capacity is not a big issue, it takes care of it automatically.

does it work for tile and carpet?

Yes it does.

A friend of ours has one and it runs over both tile and carpet in one job with no problem.

We have tile, laminate and cork. It goes over all three with no problem. Our is called Carson, from Downton Abbey.

Question 7

Does this come with BOTH if the XV-21 brushes (combo AND blade) ? Description is too VAGUE !

Mine came with a full brush and a full blade.  Not the combo that is currently shown on the Neato website.  The brush does remarkably well on hard floors and carpet with two shedding dogs in the house.
