When I bought this product I was able to play Blu-ray, now it doesn't play. My question is why now does it quit?

The reason may not be a problem with the program. You may have installed program at a later date which changed some system settings or drivers which disabled access to the blue ray part of the drive. Another possible cause may be the drive could have failed in the blue ray laser. The drives now have several lasers for use on differing types of disks.
