Does this switch support teaming?(Link aggregation?)

This switch DOES NOT support link aggregation. Netgear's documentation states only 16-port and higher models support LAG or LACP.

Two of the five reviews for the GS108e have mentioned severe data speed constraints related to the management features. Supposedly switching off QOS or ICMP features improved (but did not fix) the bandwidth problems. Of course, that defeats the purpose of buying this switch.

Has the problems ever been confirmed or resolved? (It shouldn't be that difficult to clock machine-to-machine file copies to see what's going on)

I do use the GS108E in our operation, actually we use several in a single networks.  I have had no problems with bandwidth, the QoS ICMP is off by default I would log into the switch and check for a firmware up date and/or make sure when you turn on the switch your uplink connection (DHCP) is plugged into a port before anything else is.  The unit will come up with it's own IP/Subnet if it doesn't see DHCP when it is turned on.  I have had them stick with the subnet it came up with and then plug in a DHCP line, it it still passed data but now it's bridging 2 networks. That would greatly slow things up.
