max download speed is 1gig, not 6????

DOCSIS 3.1 is designed to support a download speed of 6 Gbps, but the true limit is a combination of what your cable company will supply and the modem can actually handle.

Question 4

Does this modem work with WOW cable? Their approved modems list was last updated April 2014 and service techs can't tell me what modern modems are supported.

If it is on their approved modems list then it should work. Check and see what tier of speed you're getting from your ISP though, cause if you can't utilize the DOCSIS 3.1 speeds (1gig down) then get a cheaper modem. This modem is in no way worth paying the premium over a good a 3.0 modem. I.E. If you're only getting 300 megs download speed, don't buy this.

I have business Comcast line with 12 static IPs, does modem have to do anything with static IPs? And if yes, does this one support static IP range? Thanks

With that many static IPs you'll most likely end up using their provided gateway. And disable the router features built into the provided modem. That is if you want to use your own router. Check your contract and see what they require. Business class internet can have a lot of rules on equipment used.
