Will this work with my Nighthawk X6 R8000?

Netgear has discontinued the ProSafe line of routers no more updates. The Nighthawk X6 R8000 would be a good replacement for your FVS336G. You can still get updates Nighthawk X6 R8000. Running both would put two routers on your network.
