Will this work with  1 gig fiber  ?  can it transmit at 1 Gig ?

It will work, but it will not transmit 1 gig of throughput. This is an 802.11N Wi-Fi extender. If your on fiber, the throughput of the router is generally 80% of your purchased rate or 800Mbps+/-. You would need an 802.11ac router and extender to get above 450Mbps which is the theoretical maximum of 802.11N. Wi-Fi uses collision avoidance which decreases throughput by as much as 50% so the real world throughput is more like 250Mbps, depending on distance. I would try to relocate the router to a central location before adding extender. There are very few devices that could use a gig of bandwidth. The average computer with a gig nic card will pass around 100 Mbp. If your using your providers router, you could upgrade to a better router like the ASUS or Netgear upper end AC routers, or you could hardware to the far end device.

What comes with this product ?

The actual extender and a link to set up your connection to your original router. It helps make things secure so nobody can steal your Wi-Fi connection. There also may have been an installation CD, but I don't recall to be honest with you.

I will say that it was well worth the purchase for us.

Question 3

How does this "connect" with an existing cable modem/Wifi Router?  Wirelessly or does it have to be wired????

It is plugged into an outlet for power but set up as a wireless connection to the original router. There is a link that is used to manage that connection to extend the range.
