I cant get my netgear to work for my computer, WNA1100, what may be reason?

It can be many things, but it might be your OS. It can also be your USB port, try another one. It should install the software shortly after you plug it in IF your OS will recognize it. Try installing updates for your OS first, than try to plug this in.

Is this adapter compatible with windows xp desktop computer?

I was testing it on a Linux embedded system running a PowerPC chip and it worked. Cannot tell you about windows, but would be surprised if it did not work.

up to how many feet will this work?  I am going from one building to another - about 50 feet apart

We commonly use this adapter as much as 60 feet from the router, but within the same building. No experience outside the building or from another building.

Will this product work with Roland Piano F-130R and iOS on iPAD?

I'm using this unit on my PC. Not sure about Roland Piano and iPAD. Your iPAD should have a built in wireless adapter already.
