Pros: I've had this card since sometime in late 2003 or early 2004. This card has outlasted 2 wireless routers and worked in multiple laptops I've used it with. Fast, good signal strength from anywhere in my house going through at least 3-4 walls and all of my kitchen appliances. Does it's job like a champ. I picked the right component from the start for once!
Cons: It won't die so I can buy something newer and faster, but I've tried that and the newer D-Link card I tried and failed to get working without bogging down the computer got sent back. Not really a con, huh?
Overall Review: I can't say enough good about it. Buy it, you won't be disappointed. I wish I could say the same for Netgear's wireless routers - avoid those things.
Pros: Has worked flawlessly for nearly 2 years. I run it with a netgear WGT624 router and it's worked great with 4 out of 5 for signal from 60 feet, around a wall, down a hallway and through a bedroom door. I've taken it with me on trips to hotels and never had an issue if wireless internet was offered.
Cons: None. An excellent buy!
Overall Review: There's much cheaper cards out there, if you're in a bind, try those and see if they work. If you want a GREAT card that WILL work through walls and doors and such and last ya several years (probably more, haven't gotten there yet), get this one!
Pros: the card works great (now that I used XP to install it). The range isn't quite what I expected but there are several plaster walls it has to go through, I think once I move the router, signal will be stronger.
Cons: USE XP TO INSTALL... YOU'LL BE UP AND RUNNING QUICKLY. THE NETGEAR SOFTWARE ISN'T ANYTHING SPECIAL. Software hung up on install, had to force reboot. Tried to uninstall and it hung trying to uninstall. Downloaded new version from Netgreat site; uninstalled fine then hung again on install... finally gave up and installed using XP... it was running in less than 3 min.
Pros: It comes with a disk?
Cons: Provides barely comparable if even that much performance as the standard wireless on an old (and severely beaten up) Toshiba Satellite I picked up in a pawnshop to take to Iraq. Also hideously ugly (vain I know, but the laptop looked better with out it).
Overall Review: Don't buy it unless you somehow managed to destroy your integrated wireless.
Pros: It worked out of the box with Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron: I just plugged it in and it connected to my preferred network with absolutely NO configuration at all (I love you Linux, xoxo). It massively extends the range of my laptop's built-in wireless card, which I got in 2005, detecting about 25 networks where the built-in RaLink card only detects 4. I can now actually use the AT&T Starbucks wifi that I'm paying for, and that my built-in card was not detecting because of its short range.
Cons: None yet
Pros: bought this card 3 years ago. since i have been through 3 laptops my recent laptop had a built in card well as i worked it seemed slow and on the road it barely conected in hotels and motels. i tried this card which had been sitting in the old laptop well to make a long story short again i am using it daily
Cons: it sticks out the side
Overall Review: i will not let it go
Pros: I've used this particular wireless card with windows xp for over a year with no problems. I would recommend this Wireless card for anyone with a laptop.
Cons: The card will get warm after extended use.
Overall Review: If you make sure you have the latest driver for the wireless card you should have no problems with use of the card in windows XP.

Pros: It always works. No matter what brandname router. Though I highly recommend combining it with the Netgear RangeMax to get the best results. I put one of these in my husbands' 3 year old Toshiba and he couldn't beleive how fast his access was. He loves it. Software is easy to configure and works better than D-Link software. And Newegg always has the best prices!
Cons: None that I can think of.
Overall Review: I install Netgear products on a regular basis for my clients and have not been disappointed with their performance.
