Will this work with a netgear XAV101 (Powerline AV200)? I already have 2 XAV101's hooked up and would like to add this to the network.

No. I can tell you firsthand. I'm in the same situation as you are. I too have two XAV101's and hoped this would be compatible. It is not. This unit is compatible with HomePlug 1.0 products. What you need is one that is compatible with the HomePlug AV standard. I ended up buying a Netgear XAV2001 which complies with HomePlug AV and works very well with the XAV101's. Hope this helps!

should two units be included?

If you plan to buy, then buy at least 2 units. 1 to plug to the router, other to plug your unit. To expand your network, just buy additional units, just make sure they are the same brand & model. I tried with difference brands & speed, they don't work together.

what comes in the box?

you get the device of course; a CD with a digital manual on it, also they even give you a network cable to use. Oh and my favorite the quick setup guide with dummy proof pictures. Can't read no problem follow the pictures.
