The Nippon Labs 20AOH8KCL3-100FT is a 100-foot HDMI 2.1 hybrid active optical cable for long-distance connections, supporting 48Gbps bandwidth, 8K at 60Hz, 4K at 120Hz, eARC, HDR, and HDCP 2.2; it suits home theaters, studios, and commercial AV setups that need to connect distant displays.
Recommended For
- Home-theater owners routing a source or AV receiver across a room or from a rack to a projector, where a long run needs to carry high-bandwidth video.
- PC or console gamers connecting a distant gaming setup to a 4K TV or projector and wanting support for high-refresh-rate HDMI video over a 100-foot run.
- Homeowners or AV installers making a planned in-wall run between HDMI equipment in different locations; the cable’s CL3 jacket is suited to in-wall installation.
- Commercial or studio installers connecting fixed-source equipment to a distant display, where a long HDMI run is part of a planned, stationary setup.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- In a home theater, route video from an AV receiver or media source across the room to a ceiling-mounted projector; the long run can carry the picture and audio without placing the source beside the projector.
- Connect a gaming PC or console in a separate room to a compatible 4K TV; the long cable run can deliver high-refresh-rate gameplay without moving the gaming system next to the screen.
- During a renovation or permanent TV installation, run the cable through a wall or ceiling between a remote equipment cabinet and the display; its CL3-rated jacket is intended for in-wall installation, helping keep the connection out of sight.
- In a conference room or classroom, connect a presentation computer or AV system to a distant projector or large display; the cable supports a fixed, direct HDMI link across the room without adding a separate signal extender.
- For a studio or multi-use AV space, connect equipment in a control area to a remote monitor or display; the long HDMI run can keep source gear centralized while carrying video and audio to the viewing location.
