I currently own a StarTech AV cable 2m/6.5 ft, 3.5mm 4 Position Headset Extension Cable - M/F. I use this with my earbuds. It works great, but the 6.5 ft is not long enough. I need to find the exact same product with a 12 foot reach? Is that what this is?

it depends; this is a 3 conductor cable suitable for ordinary stereo headphones, your StarTech cable has 4 conductors and so it is suitable for headsets with microphones. If your earbuds have no microphone, then this cable will work fine.
