Why does this include a low profile bracket for the back of your case?

I am not sure you should call this a low profile bracket.
the front faceplate is the normal size for  the full sized slots on the front of the tower.  I believe that they made the side mounting pieces a little lower just to make it a little easier to get into the slot.  If you take a look at a standard DVD drive, you will see that the drive case is a bit smaller than the faceplate as well.  My only issue with this item is the length of the side pieces.  They provide numerous holes for mounting, but the actual side pieces are not long enough to reach my second set of mounting holes in the tower.  Longer side pieces would give this item a bit more stability expecially considering the whole point of it is to push and pull various objects in and out of it constantly.  That being said  however, it hasnt worked loose yet, was a snap to install, gives the pc loads of front-access slots to plug all my gizmo's into.
