Q: what fan hub do you recommend for two of these high power(3w) fans?

Can I mount this fan as either a vertical or a horizontal case fan?

Yes, they work either way. Great fans, be aware they can get loud at max RPM's but they also don't usually stay there for long periods of time. I have used them in two builds with corsair 110 coolers and they are much better than the fans that come with these. Also make great intake and exhaust fans. Bottom line, pricey but worth it.

I have had 2 of these fans on my radiator for over2 years now, no problems, low Temps. I will always buy these for my radiators as long as they are available

Yeah, they can be plugged into the motherboard's headers, I have 3 plugged in on the Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD5H-BK, and it's been fine for almost a year now.

Has anyone tried to use these to replace the stock fans that come with the NZXT Kraken X61?

I have not replaced them on a kraken but I am using several on my closed look coolers. I looked at the Kraken and these should fit without a problem but keep in mind, the Industrial version does not come with any accessories(Y-Cable or Low-Noise Adapter) or extension cables

Can this fan be used to replace the fans on a NH-D15? If so how can I set it to run at 3000rpm constant so it doesn't fry the cpu?

This is a tower cooling fan, when plugged into the motherboard the BIOS chip on the motherboard regulates the fan speed according to the ambient temperature in your tower.   The only thing you have to worry about is if it is overloading your motherboard fan circuit pulling to much amperage.  If you are worried about that, or you just want to run it full speed continuously, just plug it directly into your power source.   Using it on your CPU cooling tower if you have an old motherboard is debatable, but  if on your CPU cooling radiator is fine, since it has an upper end max RPM.  Running several in your tower gives you a cool tower, but several  also give you a noisy tower; but better noisy than fried from overheated.

What is the wattage of this Noctua NF-A14 fan under max speed? I know it says it requires 12 volts but I plan on getting a good static pressure case fan to connect to a fan controller and the fan controller says it can only handle a max wattage of 30 watts per case fan.

It uses 6.6 Watts, for future reference if you take the voltage and multiply it by the amperage that will give you your wattage, these fans are .55 amps so 12V * .55A= 6.6W. You can usually find the amps on the sticker on the center of the fan blades

Are these PWM fans?

Yes they are PWM but because they are industrial they spin at higher speeds and are much louder.
