Is this a hard copy? Will this be shipped to me after validation?

I bought the same thing...yes, it is a hard copy. In order to activate the software, however, you must first provide proof/evidence supporting the fact you are in fact a teacher or a student at a recognized institution.   My kids go to a relatively small private school in our locale and I was happy (and a more than little surprised) it was listed. You send the info to the software company and they in turn verify and send you the unlock code via email. Took less than a day for us to receive our code. Kids used it the first time last weekend and it works quite well.  Overall I'm happy with the purchase and the verification process which was only mildly bothersome.  I don't know how you would ensure it was purchased by the intended end-user, though, so I understand their precautions.

Will this work for me when I get a job somewhere to use on there computers available with Windows 7 or better?

I use Dragon on Windows 7. Training is the key to making Dragon work for you. When you first create your user dictate several of the training lessons. The more you train it the more it will understand your voice. This is a must. Every time you get a few minutes free read the training paragraphs provided. Even rereading the same paragraph again will allow the program to pick up your voice inflections and do a better job of understanding. Don't forget to speak slowly and precisely. As it becomes more used to your voice and your methods the accuracy will increase.

if I am not a student can I use this?

No you can not use this if you are not a Teacher or a Student. The reason is that to register the product you must have a working email adress from a school. if you dont then the program will not work. And there are other ways to verify, such as mailing in a recent official transcript and other things. But the point is that if your not a student or teacher, this product WILL NOT work.

will i be ableto access the internet with this? and if I have a program on the interne will it let me fill it out?

For the most part if you want to write a paper it is amazing, yet i was not to big on using it for the internet.

I have Dragon 11 for two years but could not get it to work properly.
I have tried several times but It does not work.
It will not write what I want it to, in fast Dragon 11 writes
whatever it wants, not whit I want.
DO YOU HAVE SOFTWARE THAT REALLY WORKS AND WHICH
VERSION CAN I DEPEND ON?

I have used Nat. Speak since Version 1.0, long before Nuance owned it! I have set it up for friends and family many times over the years. Once running properly, it is simply FABULOUS! This document with ALL formatting was created using Version 12, which is better than any prior version, allowing excellent dictation speed AND accuracy, as well as the ability to control virtually every program on your PC, including full web browsing, with simple dictated (spoken) commands. (I am about to send this after dictating it, and correcting ONLY 1 error!)

Over the many installs I have done, I HAVE seen your problem with (seemingly proper) installs that simply do not work. To state the obvious, you have:
1) a bad microphone, or
2) software on your PC that conflicts with it. Which software... who knows... but what to do is the issue.

First, prove your mike works using Recording Devices ,by right clicking the speaker icon at the bottom left of your screen, and using the sub-menus to setup and test your mike (Note that Nat. Speak software is NOT used for this mike test). If you are absolutely positive your mike works with the Windows sound app, but not at all or with bad accuracy with Nat. Speak), the only sensible solution is to reload your OS from scratch (i.e., a CLEAN Windows install with all updates applied).

Make sure your Windows firewall is active! PROVE your mike works again with a clean install. If it does, only then, load MS Office (with all updates applied), followed by Nat. Speak. Load and follow ALL configuration requirements by Nat. Speak (including its own mike test and config.). Try Nat Speak - and prepare to be blown away. IT WILL WORK! After that, load your other software (including anti-virus protection, etc.)! What a pain!

BUT IT IS WORTH IT!!
