i have the light version that comees with epsom document scanner, on win 8.1 had really horrible experience getting it not to crash, i was tempted to try upgrading  for $0,but seeing the spyware post, i wont and hope to find the names of the program it instaalls.
Abbeysprint ocr also came with the epsom and that works fine.
i happened to buy a doxie which is a portable scanner, scanns to sd caard,runs on batterys, and that works pretty well withthe free software  that makes it a pdf.
All doc scanners come with software.
The apps on the phones  may do just as well, i have them just havevt given them proper set up and test time yet

The specs section states this software works with Firefox v3.5-v5. Does it work with or is it compatible with new versions of Firefox?
