im looking to build a custom computer and i want to know if my components will fit inside and will work with each other.im planning on buliding this case and inside it im planning on using Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 ST3000DM001 3TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive as my hard drive,MSI N650TI-1GD5/V1 GeForce GTX 650 Ti 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready Video Card for graphics card, Antec TruePower Classic series TP-650C 650W 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Power Supply for my power supply, and ASUS MAXIMUS VI FORMULA LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX gaming board with double-sided ROG Armor, 23C-degrees cooler CrossChill and 120dB SNR, 600ohm audio mother borad. And id be using windows 7 and intel i5. will this config work? let me know thanks

It will all fit with plenty of room leftover, the case is very very big. Even the 410 mid tower version is big enough for all that. Do yourself a favor though shop around online and find this case locally and give it a thorough inspection before you leave the store. I ordered two of these and one arrived damaged. Was gonna cost me 50 bucks just to send it back for a new one . Never had any issues before with newegg with other returned merchandise until this case. It had been dropped on the back lower corner and the side panel and back end of the case were damaged and there's only about a half inch of styrofoam to protect it. Its a great case though very roomy very nicely painted inside and out and I did straighten out the damage with some tools and its only noticeable if you know its there. As for your specs Id suggest go with a better graphics card spend a little more for a 660 or 670 at the very least. Maybe even go with a cheaper motherboard or smaller hard drive to offset the cost.

Question 2

How much clearance is there for a video card between the back slots and the hard drive mounting rack?

I Dont know the exact number, but there is more than enough room. The smaller hard drive enclosure can be removed to allow for more room. I am able to fit two titans  in this case and there is still room.

Question 3

what kind size of fans does it use on sides and top?

The Installation manual says: top 200mm, side 200mm, front 140mm.  The picture shows the 140mm as a square (box) fan and the other two are round.

Does this case come with filters?

Yes but I consider them subpar. One came warped, which rendered it useless. AFAIK there are none included for the underside of the case (but I might have lost them). If you want to just pay a bit extra to not have to consider how to improve the phantom's stock filtering, or its other downsides, just buy the H630. I have both of these cases, and like them both, but the H630 is way better.

does the NZXT Phantom PHAN-003RD Red White Finish w/Red Trim Steel / Plastic Enthusiast ATX Full Tower Computer Case, have windows on the sides? that allow for LED fans of 120/140mm fans?

No, the case does NOT have windows on the sides. Instead, the material is a black metal with lots of holes, which allows the air to flow. As for the LED fans, you would be able to see the lights through that stuff.

Question 6

Ok so i got this case today , and the rest of my stuff .. where i am suppose to hook all them fan speed control connectors ? they look like a male fitting that should go into a female slot but there is none on my mobo .. are they suppose to slide over the regular case/chassis fan connectors ??? pleas help me i am stuck on this as my last build didnt have so many wires ..

You see NZXT made it so that their speed control only works with their kind of fans. So you have to buy NZXT fans which will have the same type of connector in order for it to work. I learned this afterwards but I guess in the end it is worth it for that nice 5 line glow on top of the case.

Question 7

Im thinking about getting this case because it fits all of my needs, but im a little concerned about the USB. i like to play fighting games , and i play with an arcade stick so would there be enough slots for me to use an arcade stick , mouse and USB mic & webcam? thanks for answering, and if not, is there any way i would be able to ?

The case itself only has 2 USB ports on top, 1 USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0. However, if you are buying everything else (motherboard) it can have more. For example I have a msi gd65 gaming, which has 6 USB ports built in on the back panel. You can also use a sata to USB adaptor, or a USB splitter.

What type of fans does the case come with? Also, can you add a 140mm fan to it? If so, how many?

This Case has all the fans you need built in. I wouldn't add any other fans.
It has a Large Top Fan, 2 in the back and one in the front. The PS is mounted on the bottom so it expels heat on to your floor. The only warning is that I wouldn't sit this case on linoleum or an a chair mat.

Does this case come with LED fans? If so how many? And are they customizable?

It doesn't come with led fans however they can be added, note that the case requires specific fan sizes only available from NZXT

Is their a area on top of the case to fit the radiator for a h100i?

so out of the box there is a 200mm fan installed in the top that fits above the mother bord and theres room for two, that gives you some idea about the head room on top. im not sure if it has the right mounting holes though, personally i have a noctua NH-u14s in mine and theirs room to spare on the sides with the gtx 770 i have in there as well, and personally id recommend it over any water cooling unite because the only thing that can break on it is the fan that can be replace. while the h100i has the pump plus the fans plus, radiator that you have to clean to be sure that it works at its best. i had a h80i in this before this cooler and it was a night mare trying to figure out why my computer was randomly shutting it self off. only to find out its the pump thats dead ofter only a year or so.
