Is this compatible with the OBi 200 adapter?

It is compatible with Obi200.  However, I should also tell you that I encountered reception problem and had to replace this with a TP-Link TL-WA750RE.

Do you need a talk provider or can you just set it up with a google voice number at with no annual fee?

You can just use Google Voice without any other provider. Nation wide calling to US and Canada are free. Double check to make sure.

And international calls are very cheap ranging from 1c/min to 2c/min.

I have been using it for the last many years and have absolutely no issues. Google Voice rocks!

IS this the only adapter that will work with the OBI 202? I see Panda has an adapter, and others, at a lower price?

Hello Michael,

I am very disappointed with Obihai products! Within an 18 month period, I had to return (2) OBi202's. Obihai's support is horrible!!! My first device failed within 2 months and Obihai would not support the product. I complained to Newegg and they were gracious enough to replace the the device. It took Obihai almost a month to authorize an RMA for the 2nd device, which failed 45 days ago. I'm currently waiting for my 3rd OBi202 once they replace it!

In terms of the OBIWIFI; this item is a novel idea, but it never worked correctly for me. I experienced dropped calls and latency problems.

My only reason for staying with this device is its integration with Google Voice along with other services at the same time.

I'm sorry for being a downer, but this was/is my experience with their products.

Will this work with Mac os7?

This adapter is to be used with an OBI device and not a computer of any sort. As the drivers for the device are built into the firmware of the OBI device.

So no it won't work with a Mac OS as there aren't any computer drivers for it.

Yes it will.
