Cons: not reliable
Overall Review: Bought two for my digital camera and Wii. just use couple times and stop working. Can't read or format. Have tried on one desktop, two laptops, same problem on all of them. The worst thing is I have to pay the freight to ship them back. totally not worth it.
Pros: Extremely fast. Lots of Storage. Cheap.
Cons: Flimsy and cheap plastic. I've had 3 out of 4 break. The corner snaps off inside my Nikon D80. I am not forcing it and it doesn't happen with any other cards. One of them, the plastic seam along the edges actually came undone and the whole card split in half.
Overall Review: Manufacture Warranty. Using this SD Card in Reader on USB 2.0 port works best.
Pros: This 2GB non-SDHC compliant SD card works right from the box - format and go. I tested it in my workstation using a built-in reader, and CyGap Linux found it fine. Also running in a notebook, and room for over 800 images in my Nikon DSLR. Reliable product, reasonably priced.
Cons: None except it's SD (CRMI).
Overall Review: Apparently SD cards are here for the long run, due to certain manufacturer lobbying for CRMI (creative rights) protection. It's a bad choice for music storage (.wma) since it will always play games with you to 'update' your 'protection'. The SD association has also severely limited the appeal of SD with the newer SDHC compliance specification. Cards made under this spec (according to licensing) comply with the 'really fast' 6X option - 40X in computer language (wow - hang on for this!!). Sloooow!
Compact Flash, on the other hand has much more potential and unencumbered use (no protected content issues, and UDMA capabilities). UDMA CF cards, in contrast to SD, can be used as disk drives, as well as USB/Firewire readers, in full DMA mode, yielding speeds in excess of 300X (actually about 48MB/s) - Note: That's MegaBYTES, not bits! This is at SATA speeds - Major fast. SDHC literally crawls by comparison. So much for my other thoughts..
Pros: fast, plug and plays with the Wii
adds 15000 blocks of storage
Overall Review: did i mention it works with the wii, why waste your money on a sd card with the word Wii printed on the front of it for twice as much
Pros: Unbelievavlby fast, dirt cheap, great company behind the product.
Cons: Can't believe I waited this long to get it.
Overall Review: My old SD card wen I first bought my camera recorded up to 1 min and 30 seconds of video. This one? 10 minutes. I tried contiuous mode and the pictures barely take microseconds to be taken. This thing is unbelievably fast. I own other OCZ products and bo do they not disappoint.
Pros: Extremely fast performance. This card is by far the fastest SD card I've owned. I have a Canon PowerShot SD500 and I set it to SuperFine quality at 7.1mp and I get no lag at all. It just writes the pic and ready for next, what else can you expect from OCZ?. I just can't believe the awesome low price on this card, I just ordered two more cause the price is just too good for OCZ speed and quality.
Cons: Too fast for my camera. Now thanks to this dam card I'm looking into upgradring to a camera that would keep up with the memory card.
Overall Review: Can you do better? NO
Price, brand, size, speed & newegg.
It just has it all.
Cons: I use an SD/USB adapter. This card only transfers up to 9.5MB/s max in the adapter. I have another 150x SD card (2G, different brand) that will transfer at 17MB/s in the same adapter. These cards are supposed to have the same specs and the same performance, but the OCZ is only half the speed.
Overall Review: Transfer rates tested using HD Speed v184.108.40.206
Pros: Works as advertised with a Panasonic FZ7. Transfers seem speedy enough and movie clips are smooth.
Cons: Had one "lock up" shortly after the first install that the camera said required a reformat (which erases all info on the card). Let the camera perform the reformat and have had no problems since.
Overall Review: Maybe having the camera perform a format on initial install is a good idea - could also have just been a random event.
