I have an Asus Z87 Deluxe Motherboard, will this ssd (with a PCIexpress 2.0) work with the PCIexpress 3.0 on my z87?

I do not know if it will work with your motherboard. However, it should work with any motherboard with PCI-E slots. We have not had any comparability issues with our PC's.

However, you might have a bigger concern. It was just announced that OCZ is going bankrupt. I would be concerned about service and warranty issues.

Is this drive compatible with a MacPro 2009-2012 model (Aluminum Tower)?

if I looked at this right, it will work, although you may be limited by SATA II performance.
