WILL THIS FIT AND WORK ON A DX58SO INTEL MOTHER BOARD?  AND WHAT WILL I NEED TO CONNECT IT?

Bill,

Your DX58SO motherboard should have one PCI Express* 1.0a x16 (electrical x4) that's where you insert your drive.

Need to download the driver from OCZ website, so when you install the Windows your motherboard detects the OCZ RevoDrive.

Make sure you have correct driver.

To Install Windows:

Go through the steps to install windows "once at the point where you going to have to select drive":

- click to option to install driver 
- then install the driver (make sure you have the correct driver it's important, the difference is between Revo 3, Revo 3 X2, or just Revo X2)
- go back to installation of windows 
- the new RevoDrive should be recognized 
- click on it and install windows

Would this work with Linux ( specifically Ubuntu/ ubuntu based distros)?

From what I read, the linux drivers are not officially supported in Ubuntu. I think I read there were custom kernals, though it may be for other distros... but you'll have to dig into some forums for the config/source.
