Does this come with a sata cable or will i need to go and buy one myself?

I don't believe this comes with a SATA cable. I think that's pretty common though... I've never received a SATA (or even IDE cable back in the day) for any CD/DVD-ROM drive, hard drive, SSD drive, etc. that I've purchased.

Does this come with cloning software?

No, it doesn't come with any software.  However, if you need cloning software, you can download and install Macrium Reflect Free or a trial version of Acronis TrueImage Home (uninstall Acronis when finished).

Question 3

Will this work with a MacBook Pro 2011 model? The manufacturer website doesn't address other than Windows and Linux

I've never come across a drive that was system-specific, just as a side note. I actually ordered 2 of these, one I used in a custom built PC running Windows 10, the second for my girlfriend's MacBook (2009 model I believe) and both work flawlessly.
