The OpenAI ChatGPT $100 Gift Card is an email-delivered digital card for people who want to add its full value to an OpenAI account and use it toward OpenAI services; redeeming requires an account and internet access.
Recommended For
- A U.S.-based ChatGPT user who wants a gift toward a web-billed subscription, renewal, upgrade, or ChatGPT credit purchase; the balance is added to their account and does not start a subscription by itself.
- Someone gifting ChatGPT funds to a recipient in the U.S. who already has, or is willing to create, an OpenAI account and can redeem the card on ChatGPT web.
- A ChatGPT subscriber who pays on the web and wants to put gift-card funds toward future eligible subscription payments rather than pay through Apple or Google.
- A recipient who is comfortable committing the full card value to one OpenAI account: the full amount is redeemed to that account, and the balance cannot later be moved to another account.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- Someone gives the card to a ChatGPT user who wants to try an eligible paid plan. The recipient redeems the full amount to the intended account, then chooses a plan on ChatGPT’s website; redeeming the card alone does not start a subscription.
- A ChatGPT user wants help with everyday writing, such as drafting or revising a message. The card can help cover an eligible ChatGPT web purchase, while the writing tools available depend on the account and plan.
- A learner uses ChatGPT to understand an unfamiliar topic and ask follow-up questions. The gift card can contribute toward an eligible web subscription, but redeeming it does not itself add a subscription or guarantee access to every feature.
- A current subscriber uses the redeemed balance toward an eligible ChatGPT web renewal or upgrade. The balance is applied to the purchase first; if it does not cover the full amount, another payment method may be needed for the remainder.
- A buyer sends the digital card to a friend or family member who wants to use ChatGPT for practical guidance, information seeking, or writing. The recipient redeems it to their own account and can use the balance for eligible purchases on ChatGPT’s website.
