Question 1

How can I get the mic to work?? I plug the headphone jack into the headphone port and get audio but no mic.

Well...I honestly haven't tried them yet, but they are a basic headset with standard audio & mic jacks.  I believe the usb is just to power the lights on the ear cups.  Assuming you have a microphone jack on your pc / laptop, plug the mic (red one) into that.  If you have only one audio jack, then you will have to buy some kind of splitter.  Hope this helps.

I purchased without noticing that it was ment for pc which type of jack split would work to convert everything to be able to use in a standard aux jack like on the xbox one?

Google "microphone and headphone adapter for xbox one" And the very first result I saw would work. You're basically wanting to unify the two signals into one 3.5 mm audio jack if I'm understanding right.  But a better answer would be to put together a gaming pc to go with it. ;)

not unless you have a jack split that fits. it is meant for PC with the audio cable and mic cable separate.
