Question 1

You say in the product overview "Note: HUB is not a Charger"   BUT..... You have a photo that shows "BC 1.2 desktop Charger",  So.... which is it?   Is it a charge capable hub or not?

I have this item.  But I've never used it to charge anything by itself.  The power cable is to actually boost the USB ports so that they can be full speed.  So think of like some older USB hubs that are slow with roads and writes, it's mostly because it lacks the power and circuitry to run at full speed.   I use this with all ports loaded with mechanical drives :) and they all work

its a 12V 3A power supply, sorta looks like one from a laptop than your average electronic power brick
