5.1 Surround Sound headset w/ microphone and inline controller. User's Manual and Software/Drivers CD.
Pros: -OK Surround sound
-CLEAR BASS AND HIGHS (it has it's own subwoofer)
-Vibration when subwoofer activates?
This headset is just great. I don't know how some have problems with it. Defective unit?
Cons: -If you're playing 2CH stuff...you MUST set the system input to 2CH in the audio controller software. Otherwise, the subwoofer won't work and doesn't sound right.
-The sound plane isn't THAT spatial. It has surround...but not as good as an actual 5.1 set-up
Overall Review: At first, I used the software from their website, and I was a bit disappointed and thought the surround sound doesn't work. Then, I tried the software that came with the box and it was better than what was in the website (which is most likely the latest software, but it seems like the older one is better)
Pros: Driver installed without a hitch on Win7 x64 (whew!), and once the audio settings are properly set-up, the sound is terrific. The feature of having miniature speakers within each earpiece is what really puts the Strato ahead of the competition, and it puts ME ahead of the competition in games. Another nice thing is that it's not a giant clamp like some headsets, so wearing it for several hours at a time is not uncomfortable.
And when I'm not gaming, they're great for listening to music on the PC. Heavy bass is an understatement; this thing vibrates my skull. I'm personally not a fan of the faux-environment settings available in the software, but that's just me.
Cons: It doesn't seem to want to stay on my head for some reason, even with it properly adjusted, and it's a bit heavy, too, but the biggest con is the instruction manual, which was clearly machine translated. It makes no sense at all and it's practically useless.
None of these are bad enough to drop it a full egg though, but a true rating would be a 4.25/5.00 eggs. ;)
Overall Review: You'll need to mess around with the settings using the program included on the CD, because straight out of the box, the sound is a bit hollow. However, once you have everything fine tuned, the sound is incredible.
I was a bit reluctant to buy something with no reviews, but my luck paid off. This is an impressive gaming headset, and what's more impressive is the price. I've used headsets that cost $50 more that don't perform as well as this one.
Buy this, you will not be disappointed.
Pros: It has 5.1 surround sound.
It's also got a flexible mic which can be shifted up or down, bent or straightened.
The sound quality is fine.
Can customize volume of each of your built-in "5.1" speakers.
No issues ever with the microphone. It's noise-cancelling too.
I can still hear what's going around me, so it doesn't block out a lot of environment noise. Great if you gotta care for kids or need to be attentive of your surroundings.
The sound can leak a little from the head set. A lot of leakage if you don't put them on properly.
Cons: The first thing to wear down were the ear paddings. They began to rip or wear down. Probably because I used Lysol Wipes to clean them.
The second thing to wear down was the rubber wire cover at the base of the headset. The rubber wire cover pulled itself away from the base of the headset over time until the wire became exposed and started to fray.
The third thing to wear down was the headset's ear adjusters. The headset has adjustable speakers that slide up or down to help the speakers fit over your ear. After daily use, the adjustable speakers snapped and so I decided to throw away this headset.
Overall Review: These headphones lasted me almost two years. They were okay and reliable, but the material wasn't built to last. I gotta give it to the manufacturers, but when the headset's exterior wore out, deteriorated, and snapped half over the two years I've used it, the sound and microphone still continued to perform as well as it had been doing all these years still.
Pros: They gave me that warm and fuzzy feeling. They fit so well, had great sound, flexi-boom mic, all the things I needed in a gaming headset.
Cons: 1) Mic boom broke
2) In-line controls started introducing static and no sound at times
3) Ear support plastic broke while stowed away as per design
4) Over a dozen attempts to contact Ozone via web and FB page with no replies.
Overall Review: Why is it that nearly no manf. wants to reply to tech support requests?
I absolutely despise manf. that will not support their products. I bought two of these for my household and they are both falling apart in the same way. Poor design does not outlive the expense.
Pros: Nice feel, fits on my head just fine for hours at a time. The cloth and leather interchangeable option is really nice for people who prefer one over the other. The vibration sub is sick for heavy bass music and the sound overall for gaming is great.
Cons: You've got to fiddle with the drivers for awhile and i suggest downloading them from the site right off the bat. After i did that i thought the sub had gone out but had to do some guess work to turn it back on.
Overall Review: Worth the price, hoping they'll last a decent amount of time
Pros: This headset is fantastic. The bass is incredibly tight, distinctive, and powerful! I've never had bass this good on a headset, and I've owned 10+ pairs of varying quality. Completely worth the money.
Cons: The sound glitches when I use USB 3.0 on one of my computers.
Overall Review: Driver install can be almost a nightmare. The drivers that both Windows and the STRATO website provide ARE NOT THE CORRECT DRIVERS. This version is the "pro" version, or something like that, of the headset. The correct drivers are found on the CD and NOWHERE ELSE. You might have to go through several reboots of uninstalling the drivers that Windows downloads automatically, but it's completely worth it. You'll know you have the right drivers when the headset feels like it's giving your head a bass massage.
Pros: It works (after spending some time setting it up), Good bass, it has a microphone, independent controls for speakers are convenient, stays put on my head, better than no headset at all.
Cons: Average sound quality, hard to tell where the sound is coming from during gaming, doesn't seem to be true 5.1 surround, had an issue when I first set them up but it was my computer case's USB connection, not the headphones.
Overall Review: I don't know if they were worth the money. I get average/decent sound quality out of them but nowhere near what I expected. I play games in/with surround sound and when I look in the direction of the noise there is nothing there. I still like having a headset so I won't be returning them.
Pros: Great sound quality, Great Looks, Interchangeable ear cushions, drivers worked properly.
Cons: every time I touch the headset, it sounds like a bass drum. The switch on the control part that has the "microphone" icon defaults to turn the light on the microphone on/off.
Overall Review: This is a great product that has exceeded my expectations. My music, movies, and games sound amazing through this headset.
Pros: -OK Surround sound -CLEAR BASS AND HIGHS (it has it's own subwoofer) -Vibration when subwoofer activates? This headset is just great. I don't know how some have problems with it. Defective unit?
