HISTORY ASPECTS:
The Gloster Meteor F. 8 was an advanced version of the Meteor, the first British jet fighter and the only Allied jet aircraft to see combat during World War II. Entering service in the late 1940s, the F. 8 variant was equipped with a more powerful engine, improved aerodynamics, and upgraded armament, making it one of the most capable jet fighters of its time. The F. 8 saw extensive service with the Royal Air Force (RAF) and several allied air forces during the early stages of the Cold War.
