Dimensions approximately L- 8.75, W- 3.5, H- 2.5 inches.
This model is made of resin and does not have any openings.
Based on the road version, the race versions have been modified significantly. In order probably to give priority to accessibility in case of repair needs, the body cut has been revised and the rear ridge has disappeared. The fuel tank caps are now screw-type and not hinged. The blades are also longer because a mesh was used to lock and unblock them. The Monaco Grand Prix takes place on 6 April 1934. La Scuderia Ferrari's Carlo Trossi Alfa Romeo Tipo B 22 takes pole position. The T59 of French pilots Rene Dreyfus and Jean-Pierre Wimille are entered by the Bugatti factory.
The French driver Rene Dreyfus's car No. 8 is blue colored. There is no fuel tank to his left but fuel transfer pipes. Dreyfus's nickname was tactician. He starts third and finishes third.
Nicely done in 1/18 scale by LeMans Miniatures this is the 1934 Bugatti 59 driven to a 3rd place finish at Monaco GP by Rene Dreyfus, This is mounted on base, and with piano wire wheels. LeMans Miniatures has announced they will return to making static high end resin models. This a high quality sealed body resin cast model. This model will be mounted on a custom base and a special custom box.
