GDDREAM MD3002 | From Curiosity to “I Found It!”
Using Tips — GDDREAM MD3002 (Kids)
- Battery Compartment: Secured by one Phillips-head screw; for child safety, no screwdriver is included. Open with a household Phillips screwdriver when installing or replacing the battery.
- Quick Assembly: Follow the 3-step setup. Insert the included 9V battery with the correct polarity. Fold the coil open until it clicks into place.
- Environment Calibration: If there is no response right after powering on, the detector is calibrating to the surroundings. Place the coil in an open area away from metal and power it on again. Keep the coil still during this step.
- First Tests Outdoors: Test in the yard or a park. Indoor wiring, rebar, and appliances can cause constant beeping.
- Good Sweep Technique: Keep the coil level and about 0.4–0.8 in above the ground. Sweep slowly in straight lines with overlapping passes. Most coin-sized targets are within about 4 in.
- Reading Signals: A good target gives a clear, repeatable beep from more than one direction. If a beep will not repeat, it is likely junk.
- If You Get No Finds: Slow down your sweep and overlap more. Try cleaner ground. The target may be too small or beyond the detector’s range.
- Reduce False Beeps: Move away from fences, power lines, and large metal objects. Keep phones and other electronics away from the coil.
- Digging & Care: Use the included plastic shovel and rake to avoid scratching finds. After use, wipe the coil dry and fold it for storage. Remove the battery for long-term storage.
- Safety & Manners: Kids should hunt with adult supervision. Avoid water unless the manual confirms suitability. Fill your holes and respect local rules.
