At ProTechTrader, we are committed to quickly delivering quality products to our customers. Our goal is to provide those do it yourselfers out there with a go to source for their tinkering needs. We’re a small husband and wife family business of fellow hobbyists from New Jersey and we’re excited to offer a variety of products from 3D printer parts and universal power adapters to electrical components that are featured in our Make: Electronics Component Kits and our Make: Easy Electronics Component Kits. We don’t think anyone’s D-I- Why Not project should turn into a D-I Why did I do this nightmare. We get very excited whenever we sell one of our ProTechTrader electrical component kits. We get excited because it means someone is about to learn more about electronics and we get to make it a little easier for them. Everyone has different reasons for seeking a better understanding of basic electronics. Whether you want to advance in your career, start a new hobby, or refresh your dormant skills, comprehending basic electronics can be anywhere from daunting to electrifying (literally, if you are not careful). Learning how it all works can be intimidating with being introduced to so many new concepts and components all at once and may even discourage some beginners. We are glad to save our customers time so they can focus on learning.

IT'S OUR KIT IN A BOX!!
?Each of our Make: Easy Electronics Kits are unique because each one is handmade. Several of the experiments throughout the book call for a matchbox so we designed our kit to resemble a matchbox. The outer sleeve features a faux scratch surface with the word “MATCHES” on top. Measuring, 5”x3.5”x2.5”, it is small enough so that it fits in a backpack or laptop bag with ease. The interior cardboard portion of the box slides out and houses all of the components which are individually sorted in envelopes.
WHAT'S IN THE BOX?!?
All components are individually bagged in custom printed envelopes. Each envelope has the component name along with the experiment number in which it’s used as well as the components electrical schematic symbol for reinforcement to assist in learning. We also numbered each component on their envelope and provided a checklist for referencing the envelopes and components. This will make Easy Electronics even easier to use while saving you more time for fun and learning!

ProTechTrader was honored to be asked to create this kit for Charles Platt's latest work. We were able to create the kit with the exact parts Charles was using while writing the Make: Easy Electronics book. Not only does it have all of the parts necessary to complete the experiments, it has the exact parts the experiments were designed for. We worked daily with Charles refining all of the perfect parts and had multiple custom manufactured components specifically for the projects in Make: Easy Electronics making it a valuable time saver. We are confident that having our kit will make the experiments easier, quicker, and more fun to complete.
WHO'S AN OHM?! AND WHAT'S A FARAD?
We have also taken the guesswork out of the resistors and capacitors. Containing six different values of ¼ carbon film four band resistors as needed by the experiments in the handbook. Also includes electrolytic capacitors and ceramic capacitors each individually package and labeled for your convience. The kit and book are excellent for classroom electronics education, after school STEM programs, as well as beginner hobbiest and enthusiast interested in learning the basic of electronics. Suitable for ages 8 and above.
TIME SAVER CENTRAL!!!
Having the right size jumper wires makes a big difference when you are working with a small breadboard like the ones used so we had our jumper wires not only custom cut but customer color coded as well to match Charles Platt’s experiments. We did the same thing with our custom cut and color coded alligator clips to ensure there’s no confusion as readers complete the experiments throughout up the book. Also included in the kit are multiple battery holders along with batteries, low current LEDS, transistors, photoresistors, a low voltage piezo transducer, a 7555 timer chip, along with a mini solderless breadboard.
