Hello! The thinnest of workpiece can be welded is about 5/64” (2 mm), with welding rod 1/16” or 5/64” or 3/32”, using welding current about 50A.
Can this welder machine weld stainless material?
Yes, use E308L rod, you can also weld cast iron, mild carbon steel or sheet metal.
What size breaker do i need to run this welder?
If you use this stick welder 110v to weld 3/32-inch rod, usual 20amp breaker is okay, but we suggest you use 30amp breaker. It's best to use 40amp breaker if you use 1/8-inch rod with maxmium current.
SAFETY CAUTION:
- Wear eye, ear, and body protection equipment.
- Insulate yourself from welding machine and ground.
- Keep your head out of fumes and keep flammable materials away.
- Use ventilation or exhaust to remove fumes from the breathing zone.
- Do not touch electrically live parts or electrodes with skin or wet clothing.
- Avoid welding in the open air unless sheltered from sunlight and never let rain or water wet the machine.
Tips: If the welding machine fails to arc, it may be due to the acidity and alkalinity of the welding rods. You can try to exchange connections, avoid the wrong terminal connect. Also check your rods head, confirm the flux not cover iron tip.
