CARDPONCHO is inspired by a card.
One day, Ethan was drinking coffee at Starbucks hiding from the rain. Suddenly, he looked at Starbucks' membership card in a daze. The card is small enough, easy to carry, no sense of weight-bearing and space-occupying. He thought about whether he could design a compact rain poncho for emergancy and travel like a card,which is small enough to be carried with him without any sense of weight even on a sunny day.
How to do it? THere are two ways to achieve this idea.
One is to make the rain poncho thinner and smaller,so that it can be very easily packed in a small package. But in this way, the emergency rain poncho may become too thin to be useless, too small only for a small number of thin men and women, thus becoming unpractical and losing its original function and meaning.
Therefore, Ethan CHOSE THE SECOND WAY, which is more time-consuming,laborious and more difficult,that he tried to put a durable thick,light weight and extra large disposable raincoat into a card-sized package---two layers twice vacuum packaging.
