How does this dusk to dawn bulb work?
This bulb uses a built-in photocell sensor that detects sunlight only. It turns on automatically at night when sunlight is gone and turns off during the day when sunlight is present. LED lighting does not affect the sensor.
Can this bulb be used indoors? What happens if I install it inside?
Not for indoor use. When used indoors, the bulb may stay on continuously, even during the daytime. This is because the sensor cannot detect sunlight indoors.
How should I properly test this bulb?
Connect the bulb to power and expose it to sunlight to confirm it stays off. Then fully cover the light sensor to simulate nighttime conditions and check whether the bulb turns on.
