Powerful enough for search and rescue operations or cave exploration, the Fenix LR50R Rechargeable Flashlight emits up to 12, 000 lumens of brilliant white light in six brightness levels, with a separate Functional mode providing instant access to the Turbo setting, the disorienting strobe, and an SOS signal. The light's high-capacity power pack can also serve as a power bank for other devices, and its intelligent brightness downshifting sensor automatically lowers the output when the light is within 1.5" of an object.
The LR50R runs on a rechargeable power pack with a total capacity of 16, 000mAh, and can also run on one to four 21700 batteries with reduced performance. Compatible with Power Delivery 2.0 and 3.0 and QuickCharge 2.0 and 3.0 protocols, the power pack recharges via USB Type-C in just four hours from an adapter that supports 4-amp charging (if 4A capacity is not detected, the light will charge at 2.5A. ) Runtime on the 50-lumen Eco setting is 58 hours. Blue LED indicator lights show the status of the battery.
To prevent damage or injury from overheating, runtime on Turbo is limited to 20 seconds, after which the light drops down to 8000 lumens, and runtime on High II is 60 seconds, after which the light downshifts to 4000 lumens. Whenever the light reaches 140°, it steps down a few lumens, and permits return to the higher setting when the temperature drops below that point. Lockout mode prevents accidental activation while in transit.
The light is controlled by two stainless steel side switches, one for General mode and one for Functional. In General mode, the LR50R will come on at the most recently used setting. The light's aluminum housing is IP68-rated, able to withstand submersion to 6.6 ' and drops from 3.3 ' without damage. It comes with a belt holster and lanyard, as well as a spare O-ring and charge cable.
