Optimal Steps for Refilling a Lighter
- Step 1: Vent residual gas: This is the most critical step. Use a pointed tool to depress the refueling valve until all hissing ceases. This purges air and old gas, ensuring a pure butane fill.
- Step 2: Connect fuel source: Shake the butane canister. Invert both the canister and the lighter. Align and press the nozzle firmly and vertically onto the lighter's valve.
- Step 3: Fill in bursts: Refuel in short 3-5 second bursts, allowing a 10-second pause between each. Repeat 2-3 times. The cooler temperature of the lighter body is normal.
- Step 4: Stabilize: Let the lighter rest upright for 5-10 minutes after filling. This allows the internal temperature and pressure to normalize, guaranteeing a consistent flame.
Important: Butane Lighter Refill Safety Warning
Warning: Butane is highly flammable. Refuel only in a well-ventilated area, far from any potential ignition source (open flames, sparks, heaters). The lighter must be completely extinguished and cooled to room temperature.
Troubleshooting: A weak or sputtering flame indicates trapped air. Please follow (step 1) again to vent the lighter gas and refill.

? Press the ignition switch, check that the gas is filled in by bleeding the gas or by using another lighter to ignite it.
? If it ignites, the gas has been filled and you need to check the ignition device for electrical sparks.
? If it does not ignite and there is no sound of deflating, the flame size valve needs to be adjusted up or refilled.
Cannot be filled with butane gas?
? Check that the lighter's inflation port is not blocked.
