How to Refuel a Butane Torch

Optimal Steps for Refilling a Lighter

    • Step 1: Vent residual gas: This is the most critical step. Use a pointed tool to depress the refueling valve until all hissing ceases. This purges air and old gas, ensuring a pure butane fill.
    • Step 2: Connect fuel source: Shake the butane canister. Invert both the canister and the lighter. Align and press the nozzle firmly and vertically onto the lighter's valve.
    • Step 3: Fill in bursts: Refuel in short 3-5 second bursts, allowing a 10-second pause between each. Repeat 2-3 times. The cooler temperature of the lighter body is normal.
    • Step 4: Stabilize: Let the lighter rest upright for 5-10 minutes after filling. This allows the internal temperature and pressure to normalize, guaranteeing a consistent flame.

Important: Butane Lighter Refill Safety Warning

Warning: Butane is highly flammable. Refuel only in a well-ventilated area, far from any potential ignition source (open flames, sparks, heaters). The lighter must be completely extinguished and cooled to room temperature.

Troubleshooting: A weak or sputtering flame indicates trapped air. Please follow (step 1) again to vent the lighter gas and refill.

    Lighter won't light when inflated?

? Press the ignition switch, check that the gas is filled in by bleeding the gas or by using another lighter to ignite it.

? If it ignites, the gas has been filled and you need to check the ignition device for electrical sparks.

? If it does not ignite and there is no sound of deflating, the flame size valve needs to be adjusted up or refilled.

Cannot be filled with butane gas?

? Check that the lighter's inflation port is not blocked.

? Check that the inflation port is aligned during inflation and that there is no air leakage between the nozzle and the inflation port.

    Notes and recommendations:

? Keep lighters away from children.

? Keep flame away from face, skin and clothing.

? Keep away from hot areas (above 122°F/50°C).

How to refill fuel butane torches
Step 1: Before refuelling, use a tool to align the air holes to vent the residual gas inside.
Step 2: Choose a butane fule canister with a long nozzle and shake the canister a few times.
Step 3: Reverse the lighter, and align the outlet nozzle of the butane fule canister with the gas valve of the lighter and press inwards 3 to 4 times for 1 to 2 seconds each time.
Step 4: After filling, due to unstable internal air pressure and temperature or some air still remains, please wait for a few minutes before ignition, which can improve the ignition rate.
Step 5: Adjust the flame size, if the lighter won't fire or the flame is irregular, please adjust the flame size control valve until it meets your needs.
