Product Description
Amprobe products range from an extensive line of clamp meters and digital multimeters to industry-specific tools for residential/commercial electricians, HVAC/R technicians, utilities and industrial maintenance professionals. All Amprobe tools undergo rigorous testing to ensure full compliance with the latest IEC and CE safety regulations in Fluke Safety labs for quality and safety you can trust.
From the Manufacturer
Amprobe began life in Long Island, NY in the late 1940's under the name Pyramid Instrument Company. In 1960 the company name was formally changed to Amprobe Instrument Corporation. Amprobe continued to design, engineer, manufacture and distribute product from its Lynbrook, NY location until it was merged to form ATP and relocated to South Florida in late 1999. The Amprobe HD110C Heavy-Duty Digital Multimeter is designed for professional use in harsh environments. This meter is unusually rugged and reliable in everyday heavy use applications. It is made using waterproof construction to prevent dirt, grime and moisture from entering the case and causing inaccurate readings or damaging shorts.
It is built of tough, fire-retardant thermoplastic that is resistant to grease and chemical spills, with all the sensitive components and is shock-mounted for a drop resistant to at least eight feet. The HD110C has an extended voltage measurement capability of 1500 V DC and 1000 V AC and it is unmatched by any other line of digital multimeters. The extended voltage ranges can withstand transients up to 12 kV.

Rugged Autoranging Meter
The Amprobe HD110C IP67 digital multimeter is an average-sensing, manual-ranging meter for measuring current, voltage, and resistance in electrical testing applications with high voltage and harsh environmental conditions. The meter measures alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) to 2 amp, AC voltage to 1, 000 volts (V), DC voltage to 1, 500V, and resistance to 20 megaohms. The meter comes with a set of detachable high-voltage test leads and two threaded alligator clips for connecting to high-voltage conductors. The meter's molded plastic case is made from flame-retardant thermoplastic to help protect against fire, chemicals, grease, falls, impacts, and abrasions.
The case is sealed to prevent water and dirt from entering and it has an ingress protection rating of IP67, meaning it provides complete protection against dust and is waterproof when submerged up to 1 meter. An audible continuity sensor confirms that the circuit conducts electricity, and a diode test detects whether the circuit's diodes work properly. The hold function keeps a reading on the display, even after the meter is disconnected. An auto power-off mode turns off the unit after 30 minutes of non-use to conserve battery life, and a low-battery indicator signals when the meter's batteries need to be replaced.
