Mitutoyo® digital calipers are essential tools for manufacturing inspection, enabling precise measurement of objects. One jaw is fixed to the end of the dial, while the other jaw slides smoothly and precisely without gears to assist in reading. Measurements are calculated electronically and displayed as single values on the high-resolution digital screen. The dial can be reset to zero at any time for differential measurements. They also feature a depth probe that slides along the shaft to measure depth. Many models support switching between standard and metric units. Some models can output readings to a computer or printer for record keeping.

While faster, simpler, and more accurate than dial calipers, they also have more complex mechanical and electronic construction and are less resistant to coolant. They are suitable for measuring the difference between two objects. Their multi-function LCD display can display inches or metric units and supports absolute or incremental measurements. These versatile electronic calipers can measure inside and outside diameters, depth, and step values, and come with a protective case and SR44 silver oxide batteries.
