AFL OFI-400 Optical Fiber Identifier Live Traffic Detector & Power Meter

The AFL OFI-400 is a handheld optical fiber identifier for identifying active single-mode fibers, checking transmission direction and measuring optical core power. Its clamp-on optical head uses a two-position plunger to accommodate 250 µm and 900 µm coated fiber, ribbon fiber, and 2 mm or 3 mm jacketed fiber. It supports fiber tracing during installation, maintenance and troubleshooting without disconnecting the fiber.

The instrument detects live traffic, continuous-wave signals and 270, 330, 1000 and 2000 Hz identification tones. A built-in power meter displays readings in dBm or dB and includes a reference function for relative measurements. The backlit display, LED indicators and audible indication support work in equipment rooms and other dimly lit areas.
