    IP camera can not be tested.

    This tester not supports any IP cameras testing, it can only be used to test analog cameras.

    The tester can not produce pictures.

    When the device is switched to CVI mode, only connected to CVI camera can it produce pictures. If the camera is other TVI / AHD signal camera, the mode should be switched to TVI / AHD signal correspondingly, so that the connected camera can produce pictures but not flicker.

    Must this be plugged in, in order to turn on or does the batteries need to be charged

    This tester is built-in battery, as long as the battery power is sufficient, you can turn it on normally, if not, that means that the battery power has been consumed, you need charge it, fully charge it and then you can unplug the power supply to use.

    HDMI isnt recognized.

    If HDMI is used as the display input, it can only be connected to the NVR or DVR which with an input signal of HDMI. If HDMI is a signal output, it needs to be connected to the display or TV.
