Why isn't the pinpointer detecting anything?
Possible Cause: Interference from nearby metal objects.
Solution: Make sure to turn on the device away from any metal items. This helps avoid interference and ensures accurate detection.

How deep can the pinpointer detect?
Detection depth depends on the size and type of metal object. The MD-880 pinpointer can detect a coin at a depth of 1.5 to 2 inches, and a small toy car up to 3+ inches.

Can the pinpointer detect gold?
Yes, it can. We've tested the MD-880 pinpointer with gold rings, solid gold nuggets, and even small hollow gold pieces — all were successfully detected.

Why does the pinpointer keep beeping nonstop when I use it right after it rains?
Possible Cause: Wet soil can affect conductivity and reduce detection accuracy.
Solution: Avoid using the pinpointer in wet or rainy conditions. Wait until the ground has dried out before trying again.
