Proper usage situation
- Make sure there is no metal within 2inch of material being measured.
- Ensure the subject thickness up to 19mm and being without any metal nails, workbench nearby.
- You are not recommended to make test on thin drywall directly
Wrong usage situation
- There is metal, wire and pipe within 2inch of material being measured.
- Readings can be influenced by nearby metal, pipe or your hand.
Special Notes in the Use of Moistue Meter
- Note on Drywall Readings: Due to its low density, drywall may show low readings (e.g., 0–5%) when using a pinless moisture meter. This material may not generate a strong enough signal for accurate detection. The sensor scans up to 0.75 inches deep, so moisture below the surface or interference from nails, hands, or metal objects can affect results.
- Hold the meter properly and avoid metal for best accuracy.
