The Tenacious R.I.L. elevates the design to all-new heights by expressing it with titanium handle scales and an ultra-reliable Reeve Integral Lock (R.I.L.) mechanism. Meticulously crafted from solid 6AL4V titanium, the scales have precision-machined recesses on their interior surfaces to minimize weight and are color anodized a brilliant blue. The reverse-side scale is machined to create an integral lock bar that forms the basis of the knifes R.I.L., or frame lock. It includes an inlaid stainless steel interface that ensures a positive lock-up and a long service life, as well as functioning as an overtravel stop during lock release. The business end of this remarkable knife features a full-flat ground, PlainEdge blade crafted from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel. Its fully accessible Trademark Round Hole provides swift, ambidextrous, one-hand opening and unmistakably identifies the knifes Spyderco pedigree. To ensure convenient carry and immediate access, the handle includes a broad-based pocket clip that can be mounted in four different positions to provide a choice of left or right-side, tip-up or tip-down carry.
