Yes, the Mending Machine comes prethreaded with test fabric, which is used for quality checking. It's not already been used. Please don't worry about the small fabric and run the machine for a few seconds with the test fabric prior to first use.

It is best for lightweight repair jobs, which is good for lightweight garments - pajamas, lightweight pants, curtains; Small tears and rips ; loose seams, small holes in shirts; Craft projects - lightweight fabric crafts and decorative stitching.
