Drip Irrigation is ideal for watering root zones of plants, shrubs, bushes, small trees and medium size containers

Container Gardens
Drip irrigation is ideal for individually potted patio plantings or hanging porch plants. Its precise water delivery capabilities ensure that plants receive exactly the right amount of water without over-saturating or under-watering them.

Raised Bed Gardens
Raised bed gardening is a popular trend as an easy and economical way to get started with a garden that is larger than a container, but smaller than a backyard row garden. Raised beds often require more watering than standard in-ground beds, and drip irrigation makes it easy to deliver consistent amounts of water where needed.

Trees and Shrubs
Drip irrigation is also great for delivering supplemental water to trees and shrubs. Attach a drip emitter at the base of the tree or shrub where it will reach the plant's root zone.

Cultivated Areas
Drippers are perfect for distributing water to garden beds with a mix of grasses, shrubs, ornamental trees, annuals, or perennials. With a Rain Bird drip irrigation system, you’ll have complete control of how much water each area receives.

2 GPH Spot Watering Emitters
Pressure-compensating and clog-resistant emitters provide dependable watering performance.

The ultimate watering efficiency for all plants, shrubs and trees
For plants with differing water needs, consider using a combination of drippers and micro bubblers. These handy devices allow fine-tuning of flow rates for the most precise watering customization. For drippers, select low flow-rate types (0.5 or 1.0 GPH) for plants that need less than 1 gallon of water per week after the early stages. Use higher flow-rate drippers (2.0 GPH or 5.0 GPH) for plants that need more water.
Rain Bird's pressure-compensating design ensures all plants receive the desired watering rate regardless of their position along the distribution tubing run. Uniform flow is delivered throughout a wide pressure range from 15 to 50 PSI. Barbed ends secure a leak-proof connection. A self-piercing barb allows for direct insertion into the side of 1/2" or larger drip irrigation tubing, or in-line use with 1/4" tubing for positioning near individual plants. Simply insert by hand, or for faster installation use Rain Bird’s insertion tool (sold separately).
Designed with large water passages and self-flushing action to help prevent clogging, promote green, healthy plant growth throughout your planting area

Long Tubing Run Installation
For tubing runs greater than 5 feet away from the main distribution tubing, the emitter should be inserted in-line near the plants. Shown with Rain Bird TS20/10PS 1/4" Tubing Stake and Bug Cap.

Short Tubing Runs Installation
For short tubing runs less than 5 feet, the emitter can be inserted directly into the side of the 1/2" distribution tubing. The emitter’s sharp barb makes this easy to do by hand.

Easy Identification with Color Coded Drippers
Emitters are color coded for easy identification when setting up or repairing your system: blue (0.5 GPH), black (1 GPH), red (2 GPH) and tan (5 GPH).
