Does the receiver connect to Wi-Fi? Does it support 5GHz?
The receiver connects to Wi-Fi, but it supports 2.4GHz only. 5GHz networks are not supported.
How do I connect my WiFi door chime to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network?
This device supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only. Make sure the 2.4GHz band is enabled in your router settings, then connect the door chime to the network labeled 2.4G or 2.4GHz. If needed, check your router manual or contact your internet provider.
Is it easy to install and set up?
Yes. Setup is simple and usually takes about 10 minutes. Plug the receiver into an outlet within 33 feet of your router, attach the sensor to a door within 100 feet of the receiver, and then follow the manual to connect it to the app.
Can I still receive alerts when I’m away from home?
Yes. As long as the door chime stays connected to your home Wi-Fi and your phone has internet access through Wi-Fi or mobile data, you can receive notifications wherever you are when an alert is triggered.
Is there a charge for mobile notifications?
App notifications are free. However, SMS and phone call notifications require a paid subscription.
