Is this OBD2 scanner compatible with my vehicle?
It is compatible with most cars built after 1996 (US), 2001 (EU) and 2008 (Asia) that are equipped with an OBD2 port. But it is not compatible with new energy vehicles, hybrid vehicles, and models that do not comply with the OBD2 protocol.
How to connect OBD2 scanner with vehicle and read/clear code?
1. Turn off ignition, connect the code reader to the car.
2. Turn on ignition, the car scanner will automatically connect to your car.
3. Start engine, press F1 and it will automatically read the fault codes, then press the OK button to clear.
Does the scanner support proprietary protocols such as SRS, ABS, TPMS?
Sorry, this OBD2 does not have these functions. Its main function is to diagnose the vehicle's engine system, identify fault codes and clear them.
Why I need an OBDII scanner?
It can diagnose and clear error codes, monitor various sensor data, reset engine light, DIY repairs and retrofits, and more. You can pinpoint the root cause of problems and fix them without unnecessary expense.
Why OBD2 Scanner Cannot Clear the DTC?
OBD2 scanner can clear temporary trouble codes by itself. But if it is a persistent fault, after repairing the fault, drive for a period of time or perform a specific driving cycle to meet the clearing conditions.
