The BDA-42-4-AR-R is a bi-directional active return cable TV amplifier intended for residential use. It amplifies signal by 5x forward and 2x reverse. NOT FOR USE WITH SATELLITE DISH SYSTEMS. It will obstruct the signal between the dish and the receiver. NOT FOR USE WITH ANTENNAS. Active return amplifiers are not suitable for use with antennas, as this can lead to complete loss of OTA signals. An active return path enhances upstream signal for broadband devices like set-top boxes and cable modems. Active return is suggested when the upstream modem power level exceeds 48 dBmV. It complies with all relevant IEEE surge standards for all output ports, improving system reliability. The weather seal and protective coating permit indoor or outdoor installation.
