It is designed for basic through-hole desoldering, especially round pins on keyboards, controllers, simple circuit boards, and many single-layer PCB projects. The 929D-V uses a fixed-temperature plug-in heating design. The temperature is non-adjustable by design, making the tool straightforward for basic desoldering tasks. For smoother results, allow the iron to preheat for approximately three to five minutes, place the nozzle around the soldered pin, wait until the solder fully melts, press the pump, and remove the iron from the joint quickly. For old or oxidized solder joints, adding a small amount of fresh solder can improve heat transfer and help the solder flow into the nozzle more smoothly. Use the 1.0mm or 1.2mm desoldering nozzle based on the pin size. The removable solder storage chamber makes cleanup easier after use.
