6 wks later - still cannot use

Pros: arrived in good shape and complete

Cons: quick email responses but 3 weeks to get replacement parts (2 of them so far...)

Overall Review: Received unit 6 weeks ago. Doesn't hold a charge. The support folks have been very quick on email and have sent a new charger and a new battery. The new battery hasn't arrived yet - hope it does fix the problem.

A versatile tool for a small job

Pros: It works well and great tool for a small apartment. Also very handy for cleaning car interior.

Cons: -Battery does not last very long especially when set at maximum suction
-There appears to a be a missing tool - the 90 degree attachment - in the package which is very useful in cleaning hard to reach places such as the top of a cabinet. Same tool was included in my Dyson V8 Animal

Overall Review: I gave one each to my daughter, my son, and a gift to my mechanic. I purchased this for a second home.

Item arrived defective.

Pros: Visually looks great.

Cons: Item arrived non functional and cannot be charged or used. 8 days later I am still trying to get a replacement charger shipped to me to try and fix the issue. Disappointing for a refurbished product to not be properly diagnosed.

Overall Review: Would not recommend buying refurbished.

Bad Quality of Certified Refurbished

Pros: It works.

Cons: -Lots of wear and tear especially on the stick, scratches everywhere and some got peeled off, there dents on it.
-COMES WITH BACTERIA because Accessories and the Bin on the main body are dusty. Ridiculous.... how can this be certified Refurbished. Who knows what kind of germs did i get in together with the vacuum because DYSON DID NOT CLEAN IT and SENT ME DIRTY unit.....
-BOUGHT 2 AND CANT RETURN BECAUSE DYSON SAID NO RETURN ON REFURBISHED ITEMS
-My message to other potential Dyson Customers, dont trust the Dyson's Certified Refurbished Unit. It's either u get new or dont get it. Really its ridiculous to get some other ppl's dust when the unit is Dyson's Certified Refurbished and it was Sold and Shipped by Dyson itself......Dyson better has something good to say to me on this one.....

Refurb Dyson V8 Absolute

Pros: Cordless, powerful, long lasting (for my use), light weight

Cons: There is a significant difference in power between normal and max. Brand new units on the Dyson website get 2 year warranty and 3 free tools. This has no extra tools and only 6 months.

Overall Review: The unit cam in a box similar to the original - in size .. only brown, and packaged slightly different inside (I bought a V7 new from the Dyson website.) The "wand" extension pole had a slight dent, and the canister was not 100% clean. At Max, when holding the trigger it gets quite hot where the top of my thumb touches the battery / filter area. Not sure if this is normal yet. Other than that it is a great buy at $299.
