Amazing Value, amazing monitor 3/3/2019 2:32:03 PM

Pros: - 144Hz refresh rate at 1440p
- Appears to actually be a 4K monitor panel, can run 4K resolution without the graininess seen in normal 1080 or 1440p monitors when running those at higher resolutions
- Freesync (confirmed working with NVIDIA Drivers 417)
- HDR support
- IPS panel
- Beautiful color acccuracy

Cons: - external power adapter (not a con for me, but will add some clutter)
- was not overclockable in my case, but that's just minor complaint
- can be very bright even at lowest brightness, but I would not dock an egg for that

Overall Review: IPS 144hz monitors in the 1440p resolutions are still relatively expensive, but today's graphics cards are so powerful that it is very feasible to achieve those frame rates at that resolution. I did a bit of research into other IPS monitors, but their price and features could not match this Pixio PX277H; at under 400 dollars, you're getting an amazing IPS panel that can run 144hz, has HDR for future media that supports it, and has amazing color accuracy out of the box (admittedly, I am coming from using exclusive TN panels).

Some further testing on my own showed that this monitor is perhaps originally a 4K monitor or has some amazing sharpening; the former aligns with past news articles that some 1440p panels actually have 4K pixel densities, but were used for a 1440p monitor because it financially made sense. At 4K, there is no graininess that is observed with my Dell 1440p using 4K resolution - in fact, this PX277H's pixels (I may have gotten lucky so YMMV) seem to match 4K perfectly.

After using this monitor for roughly half a year, I am still impressed by Pixio's monitor and would highly recommend it for content creators, media, and artistic professionals who also game on the side. It is very light and very thin relative to my other monitors (most likely due to the non-integrated power supply) while providing amazing color, DPI, and high refresh rates.

Confirmed to work great with Nvidia's Adaptive Sync Driver 417.71 1/15/2019 6:51:55 PM

Pros: +40hz - 144hz Adaptive Sync Range - No blinking or texture blurring.
+Gsync (Adaptive Sync) being enabled and working brilliantly is a game changer. Especially for games that have erratic fps.
+Good Colors and average Contrast, great display angle. (advantages of an IPS)
+2 HDMI ports is a nice touch, although only 1 is HDMI 2.0.

Cons: -My model has very bad Backlight Bleed on the bottom right corner.
-The HDR support is laughable compared to a proper HDR1000 spec. But at least it's there.
-Cheap looking PSU, but hopefully looks are deceiving.

Overall Review: I've seen conflicting information on this panel. I've seen some reviews stating it is a 600 nit, FreeSync 2 panel. Direct from Pixio they state that it is a 350 nit, Freesync panel. I'm inclined to believe the manufacturer.

For those interested if the built in speakers are acceptable, they aren't. But I knew that coming in and had no bearing on my purchase.

Always wary of new brands, but this is good 12/30/2018 11:16:00 AM

Pros: =Good quality IPS panel. Colors are beautiful top notch.
=HDR 10 600 nits brightness. After experiencing HDR on a 350nit monitor, I can safely say that 600nits is an absolute minimum requirement for HDR. A very large difference between the 2 experiences.
=Build quality is good for this price
=144hz is simply too big of a difference to not have. I prefer this monitor over my 4k 60Hz screen.
=Not sure why the OSD is getting ragged on. It works perfectly fine. Just need to learn the buttons.
=No Freesync issues running an Nvidia card

Cons: =Really nitpicking here, but the stand isn't adjustable. Keeps the cost down, however. I do wish the adjustable alternative from Pixio wasn't a whopping $100...VESA seems to be a better option
=I wish Pixio made this monitor in 32"
=1 year warranty makes me concerned about the longevity aspect.

Overall Review: Can't emphasize enough about the brightness. Anything HDR that's less than 600nits is NOT and actual HDR experience.

100% satisfied. Monitors are the thing I'm picky about most, and this passes all my tests. This is the absolute best bang-for-buck monitor on the market. The other options are at least $150 more...
Bought for $350

Good feature set at a good price, does great on the most important features/facets. 12/4/2018 3:56:35 PM

Pros: - included Stand isn't fancy but it doesn't wobble around or anything. while only very slight Rotate adjustment plus the usual Tilt adjustment, it does its job well for a couple hunks of metal.
- pretty reasonable backlight glow from the corners - you don't notice it much as long as you're sitting somewhere in front-ish of it. even despite having thin bezels.
- my unit arrived without any Pixel defect issues. (i don't know if your mileage may vary though)
- good Color representation out of the box, made a couple small adjustments with the OSD settings for my desires but it's starting in a good place before any adjustments.
- the Display is pretty light, but isn't flimsy and flexing around or anything. so lightweight without sacrificing rigidity.
- the Display is pretty thin overall.

Cons: - the included Stands' v-shape is perhaps a little bit annoying in terms of real estate used.
- the indicator LED on the front could perhaps be angled down a bit so that it doesn't shine in your eyes? or perhaps a diffusion lens in front of it rather than what seems to be a clear one.
- the connectivity is directly vertical, which is great for wall mounting, but for on a Stand can make it a bit difficult to plug things in (not much clearance for your fingers, Et Cetera). perhaps the ports being angled slightly backwards could help with clearances?
- some of the on Monitor menu options are very vaguely named, and the Manual doesn't help explain further. i would like to be confident in knowing what the settings are going to actually do, so i can make informed decisions on what i want. (for example, 'Response Time' on/off without an explanation of what that does. it probably makes the Display respond faster, but what does it do to achieve that? are there any tradeoffs to using it?)

Overall Review: - i can't comment on Free Sync since i have an Nvidia GPU.
- i can't comment on HDR because i have little if any HDR content(not sure if any of my games even feature it) to use on it anyways.

this is my first high end Display ever in my computing life (first time i could afford one) - my existing simple 1920*1200 60Hz Monitor after just about 30 seconds of looking at the new one, now looks slightly blurry, and a bit laggy to my eyes.
i'm ruined now, aren't i? haha.

Great alternative to more expensive brand names 12/4/2018 8:20:17 AM

Pros: I had never heard of pixo before, but they came through. Right size, resolution, and features I wanted for a little over half the price of what some mainstream companies were charging. I didnt get this on sale either, I just missed it by two weeks so i was a little dissapointed, but the sale price is around 350 (regular price 400-420), which awesome for what you are getting. Other 1440p 144hz IPS HDR Freesync monitors go for 700-800.

Cons: None so far. Looks beautiful. Glad I took a chance.

The real deal. Worth every penny. 11/20/2018 8:21:19 PM

Pros: Gorgeous display. I couldn't be happier. I was beyond nervous to spend this amount of money on a display, but I'm happy I did. It was well worth it.

Cons: Just basic tilt stand. Very minimal IPS glow, not even enough to notice it unless you're looking for it.

Overall Review: I already have Pixio 32" VA display. I loved it. I just bought and try IPS for my son. Excellent viewing angles, excellent color. I am extremely impressed with this monitor and very happy I decided to buy it.

Five Stars 11/20/2018 11:25:37 AM

Pros: - 144hz, FreeSync (I have only Nvidia so I couldn't test
- The color is great thanks to the IPS panel.
- The resolution is clean and crisp. Colors are bright and blacks are dark
- Supports HDR
- The stand is sturdy and assembly was simple
- Customer service appears to be great. Like seeing them respond to comments.

Cons: - The menu navigation is a pain but I'm ok

Overall Review: This is my 2nd monitor from Pixio. PX277h and PX276h is the best "budget" 1440p gaming monitor on the market. Truly an amazing monitor and if you're on the market for one I recommend this 100%.

Excellent gaming/entertainment monitor, fantastic picture, unbeatable price. 11/18/2018 11:27:04 AM

Pros: 2K, 2560x1440 resolution provides crisp and more detailed visuals/graphics than 1080p.

IPS screen delivers bright and most importantly, accurate colors that TN panels muddy up.

HDR10 @600 nits (not HDR10+) greatly increases the dynamic range of the monitor, producing a wider range of vibrant colors between pitch dark blacks, and bright white. This produces (where supported, see other) closer to real life imagery.

144Hz Refresh rate ensures your only limitation in games is your own skill level (and maybe FPS)

5ms response time is more than fast enough for ghost free gaming. Sure, 1ms is "faster", but it's not noticeable, nor available on IPS screens, which is easily noticeable in comparison to the lack of color on TN panels.

Freesync 2, unfortunately as a current Nvidia user, I can't take advantage of this. For AMD users, and apparently soon Intel GPU users, you'll be able to take advantage of adaptive refresh rates providing tear-free gaming. Though after 2 weeks of use, I have had no tearing in my games without Freesync.

Not a single dead pixel, no noticeable light bleed.

VESA 100x100 support

1-year warranty.

Cons: I initially had the blank screen issue a few others have reported. Even though everything was connected correctly, nothing would display, and none of the monitor's buttons would respond and/or show anything on the screen. Pulling the power plug on the monitor and replugging it in (while my PC was turned on) fixed my issue, and it never happened again.

Not HDR10+. While regular HDR10 is a big improvement over traditional techniques, HDR10+ fixes the main issue with HDR10, the inability to change color brightness based on individual scenes. Unfortunately, this requires HDMI 2.1 instead of 2.0. So it doesn't look like there are any firmware updates coming for this.

While I can't really knock a point off for this as it's simply user preference, I would've preferred the monitor to support Displayport 1.4, which supports 2K @144Hz w/ HDR, and was announced in 2016. If you want 2K @144Hz and HDR, you need to use the HDMI 2.0 connection.

Monitors buttons are hard to tell which one is which, especially in the dark. When setting up the monitor to my liking, I constantly kept hitting the wrong thing or backing out of the menu entirely. They either need a bit more separation and more tactile response, or Pixio should just use the joystick others seem to be using these days. Also, while the menu buttons and power button are exactly the same, thankfully, Pixio did add a gap between the buttons to help stop accidentally turning the monitor off.

Ignoring the button issues, menu UI navigation is simple and natural. However, Pixio threw in random but probably important settings that even experienced users will have trouble understanding. Nothing in the UI explains the settings, some options aren't where you'd expect them to be, the manual is a joke, and the online documentation is basically a scanned version of the manual or it simply says "Setting 1: Options On/Off, which is exactly what the menu says. Response time on and off? Ok, what does it do? Super-resolution? What exactly do the 1-5 options set it to? What's the difference between the HDR settings, bypass, LOS, etc. The display industry is already pretty terrible with the non-standard lingo and fancy marketing terms of basic/standard features, but the options and their settings are even vaguer than I'm used to. Pixio can fix this by firmware update, adding a additional information panel to the side explaining the settings and what their options do.

The stand is as basic as it gets with limited tilt adjustment. There's no elevation, swivel, or pivot adjustment of any kind. Pixio does sell an updated stand that fixes this, but it should've been included with the monitor as others have done at cheaper price points. Additionally, I did order this stand when I bought the monitor, but my order was canceled as Pixio ran out of stock. So even though they do produce an update, as of this post, you still can't get it.

That darn annoying, super bright blue light on the front of the display! Why put it there? Why make it so bright? Why not give us the option to disable it? Thankfully a small piece of black tape blocks it, but it's such a simple thing that makes a pretty big difference when it comes to immersion and user experience.

Overall Review: I originally came from a 34' 3440x1440 60Hz IPS screen. I bought another name brand 27" 1080p 144Hz 1MS monitor. While it was fast and smooth, and 27" was still perfectly fine for me, it was a TN panel and had horrendous color reproduction, and going back to 1080p was simply unbearable. I returned it and decided to try out Pixio for the first time. I can happily say that even with all the cons, I'm happy I went with Pixio and this particular model. Most of the cons aren't overall, that big of a deal, and can easily be fixed by firmware updates if Pixio provides it. There is an option in the settings to update the monitor through USB, so hopefully Pixio sees user's reviews and provides an update to address these issues. If they do, this monitor will be nearly perfect and easily the best monitor to buy at its price point. However, even with the issues, the monitor and it's price point (I did get it on sale), are currently unbeatable.

In regards to HDR, while movies, Prime, Netflix, etc have pretty amazing support for HDR these days, when it comes to gaming, there are slim pickings. However, newer games like Assassins Creed Odyssey, Battlefield 5, Fortnite, Blackops 4, Destiny 2, Hitman, etc support it, and older games like Ark, Elder Scrolls Online, and Swordart are adding HDR support through updates. It should be noted though, that not everything works fine with HDR as certain games do have issues with HDR. While most games without HDR support work correctly when you leave the option enabled, Quake Champions is completely washed out and unplayable. I've also had issues with certain games working fine, but when I alt-tab out and then back in, everything is super bright and washed out (Hearts of Iron IV, Stellaris, Ring of Elysium). This isn't a Pixio problem, it's a HDR/game support issue.
We're still in the early days of HDR, give it a few more months to a year, and HDR gaming will be rolling along nicely.

Overall, at this price point, this is a fantastic monitor for its features. Even with the temporary inconvenient issues described above, I can recommend it.
