UNIQUE DESIGN: The LC-2 is not a standard stock cable. It is engineered to enhance performance in unbalanced ("RCA") analog audio, featuring a coaxial design with reduced capacitance and improved shielding versus typical coaxial cables. HEAVY SHIELDING: The cable is shielded with two high-coverage bare copper braids, layered one over the other, for excellent performance at audio frequencies. HUM PREVENTION: This design addresses two main causes of subwoofer hum. The shielding helps block induced noise, while the low shield resistance lessens ground potential differences, reducing the chance of ground loop hum. LOW CAPACITANCE: A generous spacing between the shield and center conductor, paired with a highly foamed dielectric, keeps capacitance low at about 12 pF per foot. HIGH FLEXIBILITY: Despite its thick construction, it is notably flexible thanks to its soft PVC jacket and foam dielectric. QUALITY PLUGS: The Taversoe RCA plugs feature gold plating on all contact surfaces. They secure the RCA jack with a circular leaf spring, providing a solid connection without being overly tight to avoid jack damage.
